About TOD
We're building the workflow that should exist between homeowners and providers — structured, validated, and trustworthy on both sides.
The problem
Getting an estimate for a home improvement project is harder than it should be. Property owners describe the work three times in three different ways. Providers guess at scope, then have to re-quote when reality differs. Both sides spend the first week confirming basics that should have been captured up front.
What we built
TOD replaces ad-hoc email and text estimating with a structured workflow:
- Guided submission. Property owners walk through a multi-step form covering seven trades. Each trade asks for the spec data providers actually use to bid.
- Admin validation. Before a request goes out, a real person checks identity, scope, property data, trade-specific completeness, and supporting documents. Incomplete requests come back with specific feedback.
- Provider verification. Providers submit license, insurance, service area, and trade coverage. Only approved providers with current credentials see your request.
- Structured bids. Estimates land as totals plus an accuracy range. Compare them apples-to-apples on a single page; accept one and the contract + project ledger spawn automatically.
Who it's for
Property owners who want fewer phone calls and more comparable bids. Providers who want pre-validated opportunities with real photos and dimensions, not a one-line description. Admins running a service network who want consistent intake and an auditable workflow.
Where we are
Private beta. The full workflow — wizard, validation, matching, estimates, contracts — is in place. Email notifications, line items, milestones, and the provider health-score ranker are on the roadmap.
